Michigan Bearberry – Arctostaphylos uva-ursi - This lovely, groundcover with dark green leaves  is native to the shores of Lake Erie.  Plant in full sun, well-drained, slightly acidic soils. Mature height is 5 – 8” and plants begin bearing red fruit in October after two years growth.
