Bluebird House – Our modified Peterson-style bird house has been found to be preferable to bluebirds in our area. The sloped design of the Peterson birdhouse helps keep rain from entering the box. Working with local bluebird expert, George Newberger (now deceased) on the modifications, the Maplewood Career Center students and staff have re-designed our all-cedar bird house with more interior space to make it even more challenging for predators to reach nestlings inside the birdhouse.
